Heckrodt Wetland Reserve is proud present Eco-Trippers. Eco-Trippers is a program developed especially for youth entering 7th -8th grade. This HIGHLY ACTIVE camp is designed to get youth outdoors in an adventure based setting. This session will involve hiking, biking, spelunking, and canoeing. Our base camp will be at Heckrodt Wetland Reserve where we’ll meet every morning. Following our role-call, we’ll be traveling to a variety of locations including Heckrodt Wetland Reserve, the Ledge View Caves, and canoeing down the Mecan River. We will be battling the elements, working together, and enjoying adventure based tourism. Through this camp, youth will be constructing a traveling field guide for the various locations we visit. Upon completion of the course, youth will have a complete guide showing various habitat highlights, critters, and plants at each location for future reference.
